Holland woke up with a mysterious red rash all over her body last Friday. Jaret and I couldn't remember what the chicken pox looked like but that's what we decided it was. She played in a lot of public places with lots of crazy kids this past week so it only made sense. Regardless of our own diagnosis I called the pediatrician and asked her opinion. She didn't agree. She decided that Holland is allergic to the medicine she's been taking for a chronic cough: Amoxicilan (sp). Come to find out, there are a lot of people who are allergic to this medicine. Whatever this red rash resulted from, it was pretty intense and a little alarming. Poor Hollands cheeks and arms and legs were on fire with these little polka dots. She was pretty good about not scratching too much but we could tell that our poor little girl was struggling with her reaction. Luckily the rash has finally started to subside and needless to say we stopped giving her the medicine. The cough came back :(

My daughter had the same allergic reaction to amoxicillion at 15 months. She is allergic to ANY penicillions! So you just need to be careful! :) Good luck!
That's sad poor little Holland! It was really fun to see you guys and your beautiful little baby girl! I just love her and hope that her and London will become really good friends!!!
Lane had the same thing happen and then his face swelled up. It is a pretty crazy reaction. I hope she gets over her cough.
