Dang I look good!

We're loving our new spacious home!  Today, Holland took me by the hand and led me up to her very own bedroom that she shares with her toys and not with all of her mom and dad's stuff (that's what Brooklyn's room is for now).  Her favorite thing to play with me is "eat" and "drink".  She never tires of bringing me pretend food and drink.  Each time I finish my meal she says, "mose?"  This means "more".  It's a good thing this food is not real because I would be breaking my scale right now.  After stuffing me she decided I needed a make over.  She put lots and lots of chap-stick on the both of us to the point where it was practically dripping off of my lips and face.  Then she took her little doll brush and tried to brush my hair.  Her skills started out more like giving me a bop on the head but she eventually got the idea that the bristles are supposed to comb through the hair.  I'm pretty sure she was trying get me back for all of those times she was "hurt" while I did her hair.  In short I would say that her brushing stroke could be described as "bop and rip". It was fun to play with her and watch her learn to use the brush...sort of.  After that make over I looked pretty darn good!

So, we're contemplating potty training.  We ask her on occasion if she wants to use the potty and she's performed a hand full of times.  I told Jaret that I would go full force once we moved into our new place.  How did that come so fast?  So, next week is execution week.  I'm still gathering tips and formulating my action plan, but I think we'll shoot for it on Monday of next week.  She's been taking her diaper off pretty consistently and so that makes me think that she's pretty ready. Jaret actually got her to go #1 on the potty this evening and we were super excited for her and let her have a Seseme Street sticker.  Holland came to me to show her sticker and she had a beaming smile from ear to ear.  I haven't seen hear smile that big in a long time.  I hope that this goes as planned!

That sounds pretty encouraging, Hillary...I've heard that potty training can be quite difficult, with lots of set-backs. So try not to be too disappointed if it doesnt work out first go :)
Did Jaret get the police job? Sounds like exciting times for your family - especially with moving into your own home!
Good luck with the potty-training!! :)

I'm so glad the new place is working out!
I am kind of gelous of Holland being ready to potty train because I don't think PJ will be ready until about 3 years old. He's just not showing any interest :( Cry me a river... right.
