So Smart

I love having realizations that my kids are SO SMART!  I'm sure every other mom feels the same way.  Anyway, Holland is doing a great job with potty training and I don't ever have to ask her if she needs to go potty when we're at home.  When we go out is another story.  While she's home, she can pull both her pants and underwear down and she goes (most of the time) with out me even knowing she had gone.  The trick to finding out is the LACK of underwear and pants and finding little "treats" in her potty.  I'm so proud of her!  I have to admit that when I first started training her a week ago I didn't think it would last.  She was pretty much trained in one day and hasn't had an accident in the house since the second day!

The other things Holland did that surprised me happened a couple of days ago.  I put a pile of shoes in the middle of the living room floor and asked her to go put them in the closet for me.  Well, she didn't put them in the closet.  She took them all and lined them up by the front door.  With the exception of my flip-flops, which were separated, she paired up all of the shoes and lined them up in a straight line against the wall!  I couldn't believe it.  She must have seen other people line their shoes up neatly at other houses because she sure didn't learn it here!  I thought it was pretty neat.

Brooklyn has been playing in her exersaucer for probably a month or less and I am surprised at how much she actually plays with the toys.  She spins wheels and sucks on a variety of toys as she turns herself around.

It's these small things that make being a mom so enjoyable.  It is fun to watch them grow and progress.

Looks like you're doing good on your goal :)

Isn't it great to see those things... and knowing you helped is pretty swell too!

It sounds like she has a great teacher! The shoes at the door is adorable.
