We celebrated Holland and Evan Francis' birthdays this weekend. The party was at Evan's house (he's a day younger than Holland) and it was a cowboy/cowgirl theme. It was a fabulous party! It was so much fun to watch Holland and Evan carry their hats around. I didn't think I would even be able to get Holland to put her hat on but for some reason she surprised me and carried it and wore it everywhere! One of my favorite parts was after the cake was cut. Darcy made a super cute cake (5 cake mixes big) with two cowboy hats made of fondant and cake on top. She gave Holland and Evan their hat to eat. Jaret put a scoop of ice cream in the middle of Hollands hat and for some reason I just loved watching her eat it. She seemed so happy. It was a perfect little birthday for our little noodle.
Earlier in the day I took Holland and Brooklyn to the park and had a very simple yet fun picnic. All we had to eat was Nutella on bread and I let Holland open her little lemonade set and we played pretend for a while. The weather was perfect and I loved seeing Holland have so much fun. It has been a while since I have been able to slow down enough to enjoy the moment. It was good for me to be able to remember how much I love my little girl and reflect on how much she's grown. She's such a sweet and smart little thing. I found myself adoring my children even today. What a lucky mother I am to have such beautiful and healthy children. With a wonderful husband to complete the package I can not really ask for more.
