State

I got to travel with the Bozeman Lady Hawks and help coach them in the state tournament in Butte this last weekend.  Though they were picked as the favorites going into the tourni, they took third.  They had a fantastic final game.

Here are my thoughts on my first coaching season with the freshman level - It's been good.  Though the season was long and I found myself frustrated at times because I felt underutilized, I came away with a greater knowledge base and I was able to develop a new eye for the way I view basketball.  I've mostly known how to look at the floor from a players perspective but as the season has progressed my coaching eye has improved.  One of the things I love the most about basketball is that there is always room to improve.  I have a passion for the sport and I love finding ways to help others and myself progress.  I have to admit that I'm excited to have this kid so I can try a few new things on the court instead of just coaching it.  We'll have to see if the boys follows though.

I now have a little over five weeks until Brooklyn is due.  I am grateful for this grace period to enable me to try and mend my relationship with my husband and daughter.  I don't think any of us realized the toll it would take on our family and it was hard to leave Holland so often.  I'm hoping that by me being home with her consistently it will help improve her tantrums and be a bonding time rather then a time of frustration.  Lets keep our fingers crossed.  I've been reading, "Happiest Toddler on the Block", and have been intrigued by what I've learned thus far.  We'll see if it pays off!

Cheers to one month!
