On Drugs

I don't think I ever imagined that I would be in the excessive drug taking boat but here I find myself.  A drug addict.  Being sick this week pretty much put me over the edge with trying to deal with life.  I'm surprised that this is the first time this pregnancy that I've gotten a cold, but since it's taken so long to get here, it decided to be a doozy that would stay a while.  Symptoms: Runny nose, Cough, coughed so much got a head ache, coughed so much that what is left of my abs started to hurt and feel like they were tearing, try to hold my pee when I cough (sorry about the graphic details), can't sleep because of cough, not aloud to suck on cough drops, achy, lungs started wheezing and ears were feeling weird and I couldn't hear as well.  So, the ear and chest thing worried my doc and he put me on antibiotics to prevent an ear infection and bronchitis.  Cough medicine wasn't working so he put me on prescription cough medicine to help me sleep better and get over the junk.  I still take Tums and an acid reducer, vitamins, & iron.  So, at any one time I could be taking three or four different things when I usually avoid taking even one thing.  Why do I do it?  Welp, don't really want to be sick when the baby comes and that timing is not always predictable...plus, I've been miserable and it helps me feel better.  I don't think I'll do a very good job of getting old and having to take 10 different pills for whatever.  Though I joke  and complain about the pills, I'm grateful for it because I feel a little better and don't have to worry about getting worse.

I need to go blow my nose and go to sleep because this cough medicine is making me drowsy.
